Black Girls Rising is dedicated to empowering and uplifting black women as they ascend to become influential leaders and change-makers. Our mission is to elevate, educate, and empower Black women through apparel, programs, services, and events. We strive to provide support and resources in the areas of Personal and Professional Development, Health and Wellness, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
Through fostering a nurturing community and celebrating the resilience and achievements of black women, we aim to inspire them to rise above barriers, unlock their full potential, and contribute positively to society. Black Girls Rising is committed to cultivating a future where every black woman feels empowered, valued, and equipped to thrive.
After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in 2016, I returned to my hometown only to find myself caught in old, stagnant environments that failed to nourish my growth. Despite harboring dreams of entrepreneurship for years, fear of failure held me back. However, as I underwent personal growth, the burning desire to pursue my dreams became undeniable. Breaking free from constraints, I embarked on a journey to fulfill my purpose.
Recognizing that many other women shared similar experiences, I knew I couldn't traverse this path alone. In March 2020, I launched Black Girls Rising, a brand dedicated to embracing, uplifting, and inspiring Black women through various avenues including products, events, and services. Our mission is to empower women across the world, fostering a supportive network that celebrates the resilience of Black women rising above challenges.
